Most people agree there is corruption in government and that many operations in the world are being run very poorly. The disagreement generally has to do with who the corruption is coming from, whether or not certain allegations are provable, whether or not the evidence is fabricated, etc.

People also generally observe that we have not advanced as much as we thought we would have by the 2000s. There is a quieter but similar disagreement on why this is and the amazing advances no one hears about, which some say been have been silenced while others call “myth.” Evidence of such suppressed technology can be found in the form of photos and videos, which can be easily shared, thanks to the internet. But with the advanced computer technology of today (e.g. Photoshop), these can always be disputed as “edited,” often making it impossible to be certain of their validity.

So it seems we find ourselves at a point in time when you can believe anything you would like, and no one can really prove that it’s wrong or right. Hence we have endless disagreement and confusion. But the truth is that many people are believing what is being fed to them, as opposed to waking up and looking for themselves. Rather than using direct observation and logic, many people rely on public sources (such as the media) to tell them what to believe. Unfortunately, such sources are sometimes corrupt.
